About Us
Hello I am Heather! That’s me on the left with my husband Matt at Red Rocks in Colorado, our home away from the Island.
I have been coming to Madeline my entire life. My grandparents were immigrants from Italy and through a series of fortunate events ended up buying a dairy farm on the Island in 1945 and we have been here ever since. My family cabin on the property of the old farm is out by Big Bay State Park and that is where I spent every summer of my childhood with my grandmother, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings.
My husband fell in love with the Island and has enjoyed vacationing here for the past 20 years. He enjoys getting out on the water in a kayak, biking around the island and spending time on the beach or jumping off the rocks with our children.
We purchased the Lazy Feather with hopes of spending more time here in all the seasons. We love the fun and tranquility of Madeline and hope you are inspired to get to the Island and stay in our cottage in the woods. Our other cabin, La Cabina, is owned by family who share our same passion for the Island and what it offers to all who visit.
